Ignorancia’s Essentials for Madrid City

Fuencarral 45, Madrid 2004)

Ama Records is probably one of the few
record shops in Madrid where you can listen to the records you actually want to
buy. They have been a friend of ours for a long time. We made a month’s playlist
that you can check at www.ignorancia.com.
The shop is located in two huge floors where we are sure that you can probably
find more stuff called El mercado de Fuencarral

2. href="http://www.subaquatica.com">Subaquatica (caballero de gracia 9, 28013
Madrid)

The shop is of our friend Sergio. It just opened a few
months ago, last May we think. Subaquatica is the only shop in Madrid where you
can find street art, books, magazines, t-shirts, screenprints of artists such as
Sheperd Fairey, Delta, Dave Kinsey and Derrik Hodgson as wells as spanish people
like Eltono, Nano 480 or ourselves. It’s definitively a place to go if you have
interest in street art. Is located in a small street between La Granvia y the
Alcala street.

3. Sportivo: (Conde duque, 20 28015 Madrid)

/>This is the shop for urban streetwear fashion in Madrid. It is owned by Goyo
and Oscar, two good friends of ours. They bring to our city the coolest clothing
brands of the world, incuding Duffer of Saint George, Dupe or Burro. They both
usually go twice a year to London and when they came back they bring with them
stuff from Kaws to Yoshitomo Nara. They also sell some of our products like the
ignorancia wrapping papers.

4. Panta Rhey ( Pelayo 68, 28004 Madrid)

This is a
bookstore in the now famous quarter of Chueca. It is owned by two sisters,
Ingrid and Lilo, that stores all the books related to art, photography, design,
architecture, and street art. Once in a week on thursday, normally they organise
expo of young artists and illustrators.

5. href="http://www.shakecobrashake.com">Shake!Cobra!Shake!( c/ Luna no 18.
Madrid 28004)

This store is owned by Ingrid and Lolo and they store
very rare an unusual punk rock and indie vinyl record and a lot of stuff like
Tiki mugs, stickers and other stuff from shag and other related artists with
many interesting things.

These are only five good examples of
interesting places that you can find at Madrid. In all of them if you say that
you are a friend of ignorancia it’s probably that you will receive worst manners
(just kidding). But go there take a look around those places as well, and if you
are lookin’ for something more specific or need more information you always can
ask us at ignorantea@ignorancia.com

Good luck and
if you are planning a visit to Madrid don’t worry. We are sure that you are
gonna love the place. Enjoy it.

Best whises from Ignorancia.
