Aeon = an immeasurably or indefinitely long
period of time. Well that might be what aeon means according to the dictionary
but in reality, in the world of street art it has taken this australian only a
short while to cover london, from north to south, east to west in his unique
take on graf stickering.

The art of stickers started with graf and
has only recently been taken by the world of illustrators and artists, but a few
people have been keeping the graf side on lock, and aeon is one of those heads.
All over london you can see his signed for stickers coated in bright montana,
but lately he has been venutring into posters, and of course his usual graf…
but as soon as something good happens, sods law comes into effect, and no sooner
has he arrived and made a dent on the scene in london, then he’s off, back to
australia because of university and visas. So really this is a celebration and
retrospective of aeon’s london street campaign. Viva SDM!

How long have you been creating street art: Since 1996.

What did you do last night:
I went out with Ronzo, PMH and
Dscreat. We put up posters and drew on random bits of wood and stuff arround
Shorditch.

What is your favorite thing to eat for dinner:

Who is your favorite fictional character:
/>Jake and Elwood from the Blues Brothers.

What do you currently
have in your pockets:
A travel card, wad of stickers, some nozles and
an empty wallet.

If you were given “more time,” what would you do
with it:
I would do what I allways do but I’d work out a way to do it
without being broke and without having to work.

Who do you love:

I love all my family and friends, my girlfriend Claire.

How did you get started in
creating art for the street?
I got into Graffiti at a young age. My
parrents split when I was young and I would have to take the long journey to
Belgrave to see my Dad every weekend.  I saw heaps of amazing graff allong the
train lines and got into it like that. When I left Melbourne there wasn’t many
people doing street art. I traveled to Thailand and wanted to get up. I knew
that it was two years in jail for a spliff so I didn’t want to chance it with
gaff. I went to a newsagent and brought a packet of blank stickers to draw on
and stick up.  From then on I haven’t stoped. When I got to London I realized
that there was a sticker scene. So I tried my hardest to get up so I could meet
people.

What other street artists do you most admire and why?

SDM crew, D*face, PMH, The London Police, Solo one, Miss Van, The
Finders Keepers crew , Tusk 2 and all the people I put stuff up with. I love it
when you walk around and see stuff by all your friends from different parts of
the world.

What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block, to
post and/or to see street art?
Melbourne and London especialy
Shorditch because there is on place like home! Barcelona, Prague and Amsterdam
and also Dublin because it is so easy.

What inspires you now?

All my friends. All my graff mates and all my street art mates are
allways up for getting up. That makes things move on a lot faster because you
want to try new things all the time. I hate sitting on an idea for too long.


What are you currently working on? Can you give us a sneak peek?

It’s allready up! I had a new graff style that I have just painted and
I’ve been painting newspaper and posting them up around London. This is as new
as it gets. They are both fresh off the press.
