If you’re planning on being in New York City the first week in April (or
can get here), we suggest you mark April 7th on your calendars as “busy.” Ange
Taggart, a UK based performance/installation artist, will be giving a lecture on
culture jamming that evening starting at 7pm at 16 Beaver St. From the 7th to
the 15th Ange will be hitting NYC working with the Vacuum Cleaner to “Clean UP After
Capitalism and vacuum up around Wall St, the Stock Exchange and the UN building”
Late last year, Ange hooked up with artist Jon Burgerman. They did their first
piece together, Cereal
Monogamy, on Valentines Day. We hear Ange will be working with NYC based
href= "http://www.breathingplanet.net/tour/info.html">Rev Billy to organize
a US/UK tour. Check out My Dad’s
Strip Club (great name for a website!) for Ange’s current work. Also, Ange
and James Leadbitter the vacuum cleaner will be in Chicago at
