Give ‘Em Props… The Situationalists by Bild
Is there ONE painting, sticker,
stencil, sculpture, or piece of architecture that truly inspires you in your
daily work?

/>Hello….I thought a lot about your offer to ?Give?m Props`! Which image,
piece of something gave and gives me Influences in my work. There are many
images but for me the ” situationists- comics” were really my biggest one. This
isn?t a image anyway…or maybe?! I wrote this little text and let it be save on
my computer while I where thinking again about an image….but I didn?t found
anyone…..real one! Hopefully that?s okey?! The image I send with this mail is
one part of an situ-comic strip. It is the one which brings a lot to an point
what situationism is about…..a little bit! Okey..?!...thank you very much for
the offer to ?Give?m Props?!!!! I?am very happy about, too…
I
think SITUATIONISM was the biggest inspiration for me. It had a big influence in
my ? street-art’ work. When I started to make posters, to print stickers, think
about a new name I just read a lot about Dada-, Neo- and Situationism. It gave
me a good connection between (my) art and daily life in a postmodern spectacular
society. The Medium is the message and even the form is ultra-abstract it has a
special meaning in urban landscape, different contexts. Situationists wrote a
lot about ? creating Situations`. They mean something different in the way I
understand it and how I handle with this idea but this is something what is very
in the centre of what I am trying to do. I am dealing with this idea, like
influenza or p.p.t. red ( berlin) are doing it, too! It gaves me a perspective
to do something with urban landscapes not just in it.
