Giant vs Giant

We absolutely love living in New York, and the truth is there’s nowhere
else in the world we’d rather be. But every once in a while something comes
along where we get extremely jealous that we’re here in New York and not “there”
(ie somewhere else).
This will be the case on January 7th as on
January 7th we will unfortunately be in New York and not in San Diego. Why San
Diego?
Because on January 7th, Mike Maxwell, the curator at
href="http://www.voice1156.com/">VOICE 1156 Gallery, a fairly new gallery (5
months old) in San Diego has put together a show called “GIANT vs GIANT” in
which new work by both Shepard Fairey
and Mike Giant will be
featured. He tells us - “I know a lot of people have confused the two of them
for years and I thought it would be great to have them show together and remove
any doubt.”
So while we will be braving the bitter cold of this
year’s New York winter, we’re extremely jealous of those of you who will be able
to check out the show in San Diego. Here’s the info:

(Also, a few weeks
ago we picked up a copy of Mike Giant’s new book “Manifestations 2004” which was
recently published by Ginko Press, If you haven’t yet checked out the book, you
should. It’s one of our favorites of the year. Compiled and edited by the
amazing Roger Gastman, the book is absolutely fascinating and filled with
amazing work from many years of Mike’s career. We highly, highly recommend it.
