/>From Medium: “Most of the work I’ve been doing this winter
has been studio based. The winters in Toronto can get pretty damn cold at times,
so its hard to stay consistant with the street art, especially cause outdoor
stickers and wheatpastes are out of the question. So I’ve been doing lots of
drawings, to get ready for a show in the summer. I wheatpasted one really big
wall last week, during a quick thaw, that was fun. Not really well thought out
or anything, I just tiled a wall with all my left over posters, spring cleaning
I guess.

/>The event that I am most looking forward to is my show in July here in
Toronto. I’m ripping apart a gallery and turning it into a “History of the Land-
Fish Museum”. Basically it will be a monument dedicated to the land-fish
species, explaining how they grew feet and walk on land, and started mating with
dogs and trees and stuff. Its gonna be a mix of drawings, sculpture, audio, and
a big mural, extending onto the floors and ceilings, If I can paint the floors
without the gallery owner murdering me. I’ve got the place for a month, so it
should be fun. It looks like I’ll be in a group show in New York in the summer
as well, which I’m really pumped for, cause I love coming down to the city and
screwiing around for a few days. This time I’m gonna do some stuff in the
street, but I haven’t decided what yet.
I’ve been reading a lot
lately, stuff on nature and genetics and evolution, and that has been fueling my
art for the last little while. I’m a total nerd, but when I read all this
science shit, I get really excited to go to the studio and draw it. The best two
books that I have read in the last while is one about giant squid, and another
about creatures who never see sunlight for their entire lives. Like deep sea
creatures, or animals who live in the deepest pasrts of the deepest caves. Its
really interesting how their bodies have adapted to survive in their
surroundings. Shit, listen to me, I should be embarrased to write all this
stuff.”... Medium
