Abe Lincoln, Jr.  - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did
you get started in creating art for the street?

Abe Lincoln,
Jr:
I first started throwing up skate stickers & skate team tags when I
was a Skate Punk in the early 80’s, followed by big graffiti pieces (with
permission) that were marred by too much Mickey’s and “punk rock” can
control.

Wooster: What other street artists do you
most admire and why?

Abe Lincoln, Jr: href="http://www.flying-fortress.de/">Flying Fortress because his images are
so tight, Banksy of course, href="http://www.wearechangeagent.com/swoon/">Swoon is incredible, Stark has
crazy skills, there’s this one guy’s sticker tags that look almost like Arabic
Calligraphy…next level, and Crass.

Wooster: What’s
your favorite city, neighborhood, or block, to post and/or to see street art?
/>
Abe Lincoln, Jr: NYC, Soho is loaded with street art
good, bad, and ugly.

Wooster: What inspires you
now?

Abe Lincoln, Jr: wooster collective/ href="http://www.stencilrevolution.com">stencilrevolution.com really
rekindled my love of street art. Beautiful
Decay/Vapors Mags, walking
around Soho and Brooklyn.

Wooster: What are you
currently working on?  Can you give us a sneak peek?

Abe
Lincoln, Jr:
I am currently doing these “Chickenshit” stickers. Some
hand-drawn USPS stickers called “Graffirmations”, that’s cute animals with
slogans from grade school…“stay in school, don’t do drugs” that kinda shit.
