If you're in Washington DC this weekend, be sure to head along Metro’s Red Line to the Rhode Island Avenue station and check out a massive 500 feet long wall that's being turned into the largest mural of its kind in the city.
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., more than 100 artists will add to it at a mural jam. The public is invited to help paint and enjoy live music, DJs, food and activities for kids.
The jam is sponsored by the D.C. government and the nonprofit group Albus Cavus, which aims to beautify neighborhoods by creating works of art.
Rhode Island Avenue Shopping Center, 680 Rhode Island Ave. NE (Metro: Rhode Island).

If you are like Marc and I, you are stretched thin, busy every day and every evening with work, family and play. We know that artists often cringe when asked to support a non-profit organization with artwork; either they don't have enough pieces for their next show or they don't have a minute to work on an additional piece. That's why we want to extend a big thank-you to the artists who supported our curatorial efforts for the Washington Project for the Arts. WPAC is a non-profit organization that supports local emerging artists in Washington D.C. and we felt it is a worthy cause to support.
If you are interested in bidding on any of the pieces you may do so online here .
Thanks to everyone who came out to our lecture at American University in DC last week. Every time we see a glimmer in someone's eyes when they first see a Crateman or a Roadsworth or a Sprinkle Brigade we are satisfied that we have another convert.
Thanks again to all the artists who donated work: Armsrock, Che Jen, Elbow Toe, Faile, Koralie, Judith Supine, Lister, Nick Georgieu, Tomatsu, Dam Witz, WK, and Rekal
