Street Art Film Series This Weekend at the TATE Modern

Breaking: Location Of This Weekend's Cans Festival in London

As promised earlier in the week, we're pleased to announce the location of the The Cans Festival, A street party of Stencil Art that kicks off tomorrow in London...
LEAKE STREET, LONDON SE1 7NN
It's a three minute walk from the London Eye, with the nearest tube being Waterloo. It'll be open to the public from 10am Saturday until 10pm Monday. Admission Free
Artists confirmed so far include;

Blek Le Rat Goes Big in London

It's been more than three years since we first spoke with Blek Le Rat about having him come to New York for a visit. We're absolutely thrilled that in early December Blek will finally be returning to New York to be a part of the Wooster on Spring project.
The photo above is of a massive 6m x 8m poster done by Blek of a homeless beggar as a reminder to the people of London that there will be thousands of homeless people in the city this coming Christmas. It went up this week on the outside of the Leonard Street Gallery. The poster and other works by Blek Le Rat are on view at the Gallery until December 6th 2006.

Adam Neate continues to impress us more and more each time he does a new show. The piece above is featured in the show IN OR OUT? which opened last week at the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms in London. The show also includes some terrific work by Ron English and Jose Parla.

The Return Of StolenSpace in London

Congratulations to our friend D*Face in London, who tomorrow night will officially re-open his gallery StolenSpace at a new location in the Old Truman Brewery.
Tomorrow night's exhibition features the artwork of a genre yet defined, influences from skateboard graphics, graffiti, illustration, comic books and tattoo art.
StolenSpace houses a collection of artwork by such artists as:
David Bray, D*Face, Conor Harrington, Harry Hayward, Hellovon, Dave Kinsey, Charles Krafft, Andrew McAttee, Word to Mother, Kirsty Whiten, and Dan Witz.
Check out the opening tomorrow night, Thursday the 21st September. 6pm - 9.30pm.

Adam Neate in London

What What has posted on his Flickr site a new piece by Adam Neate that is the first painting you see as you go in to the new exhibition at Elms Lesters painting rooms. We agree with What What in also saying that this is our favorite piece by Adam Neate to date. Where some artists seem to be compromised a bit when attempting to produce an immense body of work, Adam seems to only be getting better from it.
