If your not yet familiar with the work of EVOL, be sure to check out a series of photographs taken by Just, which documents EVOL's first solo exhibition at the Wilde Gallery in Berlin.
Here's a description of the show:
"For his first solo show with the gallery, EVOL presents a Four by Three meter installation titled “Flamingo Beach – Later” consisting of a meticulously stencilled environment that oscillates between a real transitory space and an imaginary faux location that plays on the idea of the cinematic prop as well as collective suspension of disbelief."
There´s a free catalogue to download here.

There's a ton of terrific art festivals this summer. One of our favorites is URBAN AFFAIRS that kicked of earlier this month in Berlin at Brauerei Friedrichshöhe. Landsberger Allee 54.10249
URBAN AFFAIRS is a large-scale exhibition that is bringing together forty-two artists from nine countries. Each artist is invited for a three-day residency at The Friedrichshoehe, a new cultural center in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
If you're in town, be sure to see Leon Reid IV (Darius Jones) who will give two lectures and sign copies of The Adventures Of Darius and Downey on the following dates:
Friday 18 July 18.07.2008.19.30h (7:30pm)
Friday 25 July 25.07.2008.19.30h (7:30pm)
Brauerei Friedrichshöhe. Landsberger Allee 54. 10249 Berlin

This looks like a good one. Boxi's latest exhibition, “BUILDINGS AND BRIDGES” opens in Berlin at the Deathless Gallery on March 23rd at 8pm.
The show "addresses the encroaching and often unpremeditated art of graffiti eradication in Berlin, highlighting the difficulties of exhibiting the internal outside and the external inside. Boxi’s installation forges a link between the poles of high art and the grey area of post graffiti, playfully commenting upon the state of exclusion of one from the other."
