What’s Currently Inspiring You?.... Zonenkinder
FROM ZONENKINDER (SMAN&
DONA):
“In general we are inspired by good relaxing music,
especially roots reggae, rockers and dub because the steady rhythm keeps us
going on and the good vibes are guaranteed. In fact the influence of music on
our work should not be underestimated.
Another big inspiration is for
sure a photo of a parrot wearing roller-skates which we hung up in our kitchen -
every morning it reminds you to keep smiling for whatever comes.. others may
think its animal torturing.. whatever.. some things that are joke to me are
death to others.
Last week
while we visited Stuttgart (southern Germany) we found an interesting sticker
while walking along the dirty neckar river.

DONA:
I am also inspired by colors like red, pink and orange (mainly the combination
of them). Such colors have a direct effect on my mood. Like an arrow the
charisma of those colors fly through my eyes and give me energy and strength.
Moreover the silence and simplicity of the photo “shadows of the children” (by
Klaus Simon) inspires me to take a deep look inside of me and to concentrate my
attention on the inside-energy of life.
Last but not
least SMAN is inspired by the special atmosphere of space and time when doing
artwork together with people especially inside pieces. Last week we had a
session with some guys in a hall in Wiesbaden. Those guys painted more than
three walls one after another and even didn?t stop when we left at 3 o?clock in
the morning: peace to KB, CRUE, 24.
Besides the
competition with good painting people like OPEN (amc) is very inspiring!

Thanx to all people doing good artwork in
public space!”... zonenkinder
