“The CookieJar
project is something I’ve been working on for sometime. It started with me
writing a science fiction column for a paper in Williamsburg, then I made those
stories into audio pieces (late 90’s). I actually made a sound sculpture out of
it as seen in the photo from an artshow it was in. It is a ceramic cookiejar
with speakers for ears and a subwoofer in the stand. It is a story telling
cookiejar to listen to while eating a cookie. With the advent of the mp3 and
iPod, I think the audio piece has a new platform, a very appropriate one. Like
the radio shows of yesteryear…
