Wooster Collective has partnered with 3rd Ward to offer a night of trash, art and inspiration. Wayne White's enthusiasm for creativity is contagious; catch the spirit from him this Thursday at 3rdWard. Wayne will share his thoughts on the beauty of garbage, and you will get a chance to create an original piece of art. All you'll need to make your masterpiece is three found objects (cardboard, bottles, plastic, wood, etc.) and a bright idea for an original creation. The event is free, but you must RSVP!

Filmmaker Neil Berkeley tracks Wayne's career and burning passion to create from his youth in the Tennessee mountains to his success behind the scenes on Pee-wee's Playhouse to Hollywood highs and lows. White has achieved commercial success as an artist with his iconic "word paintings." At its core, the film is a reminder that we should all follow our passion and that its those creative impulses that will lead us to where we need to go.
The film is coming to the IFC Center this Friday, Sept. 7. Wayne himself and filmmaker Neil Berkeley will be there in person for the 6:25, 8:30, and 10:30 p.m. shows. Tickets for are going fast -- get yours here, and enjoy the trailer below.
