“Hey Woostercollective! A big fat howdy with coco jam on top to
y’all from Makati City, Philippines! I regularly check out the wooster site
because it really is an inspiration for people all around the world, including
myself. A personal favorite of mine is the Storker installation! Placement of
those babies is just perfect.
Last weekend, I went to an art and
street festival on Reposo St. where they set up some mural painting for the pros
and street painting for the kids. It was called Tibok Sining sa Reposo - (ok,
i’m taking this from their programme) “a feast for the senses and a celebration
of the creative spirit that keeps Reposo Street in Makati alive. Its objective
is to serve as a model for urban communities and to encourage them to have their
own burst of soul through visual arts, and cultural activities.” It’s the first
festival held on Reposo and it’ll probably be an annual event. I thought I’d
share some of the pictures I took so people can see some art from the
Philippines. REPRAZENT, yo! hahaha! ![]()
I’m giving you some pictures
of the mural (behind the wall is actually a cemetery), and some of the street
“painting”. Well, it was chalk. But fun anyway!
