Based on the concept of the writer’s bench in
graffiti culture, sketchbook is an open invitation event to bring Giant Robot
readers, artists, and friends together for a night of collaborating for the sake
of art and spontaneous creativity. Patrons are encouraged to bring their
sketchbooks / blackbooks, designs, writing pieces, and other works of art to
share with others. The venue will support free-space areas (read: paper on
tables or walls) for people to leave their mark or team up for a creative co-
production.

Bring your own materials: pens, markers, crayons,
sketchbooks, photos, spiral notebooks, trapper keepers, collages, stickers,
labels, stencils, sneakers, t-shirts, etc. Out of respect for the venue, please
leave spraypaint and other mess prone tools at home.

Showcasing
artists - Sakura Maku & Stella Yoon

Sakura on Stella: “MC Stella is
my sister of soul. Her work is like skin - It holds all your organs in one
sack.”

Stella on Sakura: “Sakura’s work reflects her crazy fun
imagination and great energy. There’s always so much interesting stuff going on
in the worlds she creates, you can’t help but be curious and drawn in.”
