B-MOC - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did you get started in
creating art for the street?

B-MOC: I was deep into
hiphop when I started with art school so off course graffiti was a part of that
culture. While I was painting on canvas I always wondered if my designs would
work on a wall. I got lucky and made contact with one of the graffiti masters of
Ghent “1 up “. We became friends and he showed me some spray can tricks. I
tried it and it worked out. My robots came to life on the street. I’m also
having good fun creating stickers : silkscreen and originals.

/>Wooster: Why Robots?

B-MOC: As a
child I have had migraine attacks. Always the pain, pinning me down unable to
function. At some days when it got worse I started to fantasize that I was a
robot with no pain and that I could go out and play.It gave me strength. That
image still follows me and it works. Therefore Robots are special to me and I
love to design and work with them.

Wooster: What
other street artists do you most admire and why?

B-MOC:
I really like Futura 2000 . Because he lifted graffiti to another
level with his abstract designs. He’s also got that Sci-fi touch I dig.

/>Wooster: What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block,
to post and/or to see street art?

B-MOC: I don’t
have a favorite, if you open your eyes, you’ll see on every door, wall or bridge
good street art all around the world. With the Fifty Foot Combo I’m also on tour
a lot so every country in Europe has got several street art by me.

/>Wooster: What inspires you now?

B-MOC:
Life and death

Wooster: What are you
currently working on?  Can you give us a sneak peek?

B-MOC:
At the moment I’m working with skulls. Human and animal. In Belgium
there’s going to be a big tattoo art show in the Royal museum of old artifacts
in Brussels. As I also design tattoos they have asked me to be creative with
some skulls. I will send pictures when there finished. I’m finishing level 2 of
my online video game.
You can play level 1 href="http://www.cream.be">here and drawing new pages for my upcoming comic
book.
