STENCIL OF THE DAY: ARTIST UNKNOWN

Location: Greene Street in Soho, New York
Note: I must have walked by this stencil at least 100 times before seeing it for the first time. You won’t understand why by looking at the photo. This stencil is actually extremely light and subtle and can barely be seen behind the blue letters and stripes. Using Photoshop we jacked up the contrast and suddenly the image began to appear—similar to when you enlarge photos in a darkroom.  It’s quickly becoming one of our favorite snaps here at Wooster.  We hope you like it as much as we do.
