Steet Writing and the Drip Flowers

Last night Jeffrey Yamaguchi of href="http://www.52projects.com/">52 Projects sent us a link to a terrific
photo page called Street
Writing
, an archive of pavement art from New York and Chicago put together
by Rachelle Bowden.

Among
Rachelle’s photographs are two pieces that we’ve been obsessed with for a long
time.

First….

The drip flowers have been a fixture of downtown
Manhattan for a few years now. We used to see them a lot in the East Village and
Soho. Many of them are amazing. And yet, it’s been a while since we’ve seen any
fresh ones.  We miss them a lot.

And the second one is….

There’s a GAVR - OCHE stencil on our street and for
months each time we walk Hudson we scratch our heads asking ourselves what the
hell GAVR OCHE means.

If anyone has any info on these two pieces,
drop us a note, okay?
