If you’re in Los Angeles, you may have seen Urban Medium’s “Steal Music”
paste-ups.  Here’s what it’s all about, direct from Urban Medium himself:
/>
“Research firm NPD Group Inc. released a report on Wednesday
estimating that in August, 1.4 million households in the United States deleted
all the digital music files saved on their computer hard drives, which the
research firm credited to increased warnings and a flurry of lawsuits from the
Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) against unauthorized sharers of
music files.” - Washington Post

Arrgh, mateys, the RIAA has
instilled fear in downloading, and wiped out an entire industry of independent
internet broadcasters who represent freedom of choice and diversity for
listeners sailing the digital high seas! The Steal Music poster campaign gives a
peg-legged kick to the RIAA by celebrating music piracy! Still in its infancy,
you can play a major roll in spreading the message - for a short time,
UrbanMedium is taking requests from those in the US who would like to get their
grubby mitts on some Steal Music treasures. Send us shots of where you dispersed
the bootlegging message - collected photos will be presented in our online
galley.” ... UrbanMedium
