Sickboy - The A’s To Our Q’s:
Wooster: How did you get started in creating art
for the street?
Sickboy: it was just something i used to see
alot of when i as a kid, although the styles were alot different than todays
stuff the ethos was the same and i had admiration for peoples urge to get in
your face. it was only a matter of time before my mate whos brother wrote taught
me the basics, and i made up the rest..
Wooster: Why
Sickboy?
Sickboy: its hard to forget
/>Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire and why?
/>Sickboy: i relly dig this artist called hundertvasser from vienna he is
classed as a house doctor and tend to do bugged out stuff for the council there,
like grow forests on the roof of high rise flats, he manifests himself by
naturally restoring urban environments to get them more in tune with
nature…
Wooster: What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or
block, to post and/or to see street art?
Sickboy: its used to
be paris, but thats last time i visited alot of stuff had been buffed, so
barcelona has to take its place untill paris gets its crown back
/>Wooster: What inspires you now?
Sickboy: funnily
enough stuff thats happening right here on my doorstep is becoming really fresh,
i just take a slow walk round town and see what i can soak up.
/>Wooster: What are you currently working on? Can you give us a sneak
peek?
Sickboy: im doing canvasses for installation for an
exhibition in london at the 55dsl shop, and im working on expanding my clothing
range “sickboy” with four new designs out by the end of the month on tees. And
stuff for the ladies also.
