after the london marathon and i limped by as i took this photo.
style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Update from Frank in London: “Hi Marc…
I hope you are all well over at wooster!!! You would not know this, but I
thought I would inform you. The image you have put up on your site… Seen on
Brick Lane, of the life size man, is a piss taking, cunning ad campaign
designed by Saatchi and Saatchi for a new Mexican drink being sold in to the
U.K… They have taken the angle of Street art to try and market this new
drink… Another corporate jumping onto the tales of true street artists…They
have used cunningly positioned fly posters, stickers and stencils.
A
few unnamed artists at POW have been on a mission to clear the streets of this
tainting piece of bullshit street art!.
Even to the point that over
the weekend, someone has pasted over the fake posters with solid white posters
to block them out!!!
You would not have known this, very much like
the person who sent the image in, but they even had a TV program on British TV
about Saatchi coming up with this idea…
Anyway,,, my rant is over,
off down the pub to enjoy a few beers in the sun that is finally shining on
London.. All the best… keep it up… your the best site on the net.
