Seems that the other day

/>Seems that the other day when we noticed a whole new wave of street art go up
on Wooster Street all on the same morning, it was actually part of a new
exhibition that the Drawing Center
officially opened yesterday afternoon.
“Street Selections”
features the work of eight new artists who have placed their art at
various sites along Wooster, between Canal and Spring. Cick on the map above to
see where they all are.
Amy Bay, from Brooklyn, is
the artist who is doing the brick patterns we highlighted yesterday.
Celcelia Galiena has put up a few wall drawings around town which focus
on language and the ephemeral interaction between words and images, and Jamie
Pawlus has created these quite bizarre yet utterly compelling street signs
by silk-screening original sketches onto aluminum supports. All the art in the
exhinition is extremely cool. And you can find it all outside on the street. If
you’re in the neighborhood come check it out. The exhibition runs until the end
of May.
