Santy - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did you get started in
creating art for the street?

Santy: First puttin up my name
(my identity) to be a talking presence and not a victim of hype..(TAGS THROWUPZ
PIECES) Then keeping up the competition creating ever new tricks and using
DESIGN and a.d.busting to let that other types of person access to my message. If
we use head we can be stronger than pubblicity and/or “traditional” arts
/>
Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire and why?

"right">Santy: I think that much of the best streetartists of today was
first into spraybombing…some famous example? Zeus, mrAndre, Atlas,
F.Fortress…But in newskool too we have some artist with a particoular and
recognizable style:I love who have clear ideas and keep his style ugual in every
type of work (spray, sticker, poster)There are a lot of good artists now,I’d like
to make works or expos with them. All the french dudes like Eko, PixelPhil, Cha,
Chanoir,Yo club. etc…they really rocks with a personal style, so in Italy i
think that the most “complete” artists at the moment are :me, abbominevole,
108.and a little couple of others.. but i’m sure that all over the world every
day grow up a new burner

Wooster: What’s your favorite city,
neighborhood, or block, to post and/or to see street art?

/>Santy: boah! everywere is a new trip!! I love Paris and London :full of
competition;also Amsterdam for his dimension and typical style is great for
street intervention. I love rusted surfaces and when the wall tipology gives the
work more meanings….European cities gives you a lot of nice and pictorical
opportunities to work with streetart but the seed af all of this shit is ever a
good 2colors throw-up with stylous loops ,going over millions of tags and shitz
on a dirty brick wall in your city.(N.Y.graffiti Mecca!). but :Take a time to
think at the effect of the vision of an artistic sticker in a wild place where
nobody live..you will think:“that fuckkn crazy man!“it is cool too…

/>Wooster: What inspires you now?

Santy: I love to
respect the power of life that outcome throught every uman behaviour.I wish that
the contact with me and my works permit people to know more about themself
/>
Wooster: What are you currently working on?  Can you give us a
sneak peek?

Santy: I’m working to mix my meanings and my style
with Portugal history and people..Here the story of masonry is strong and at the
moment i’m tryng to mixing typical masson symbols with my works…soon will come
a ceramic production of my balconys…
