Pure Evil’s Best of 2005
Favorite Event of 2005:
It was kind of favourite / least favourite event combined… on the 6th of July London got to host the Olympics and we all went ‘wow something good finally happens’... and then the next day London got bombed and the whole atmosphere switched totally… it was bizarre that so much could happen in 24 hours…and the same day I went to Barcelona which was amazing…
OLYMPICS: old ladies in france are left with a lot of stock…
BOMBINGS: and my street is closed off and this is the view from my window at midnight after the bombs came.
Favorite Artist of 2005:
or adam neate
can’t decide…being their friends and painting with both of them this year has been an inspiration for me.
Favorite New Artist of 2005 (an artist who you did not know of last year):
SPIT.. I know everybody else has probably known him for years, but I went to barcelona and saw his stuff for the first time this year and then totally randomly met him too… he is awesome.. I stole this image of his from ekosystem.org thanks !
Favorite Piece of Art of 2005
The Holocaust Memorial between Potsdamer Platz towards the Brandenburg gate. The best piece of art definitely..
Favorite New Product or Trend of 2005:
The Pictoplasma CHARACTERS IN MOTION DVD pretty much rocks my world especially the OGGO animation by Saiman Chow I projected it onto a wall about 40 feet wide at a party last night and people were loving it.
Favorite Toy of 2005:
I have been playing with Video mixing software a lot this year… Symtonic, Arkaos and Motion Dive Tokyo all RULE..
Favorite CD or Song of 2005:
vashti bunyan : just another diamond day (album)
