Spaceman - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did you get started
in creating art for the street?

Spaceman: I wanted
to make work outside of a gallery setting, but continue working with space. I
was looking at a lot of grafitti artists that were doing site-specific work,
like banksy, blek, and space invaders, and it all seemed to click.

/>Wooster: Why the spacemen?

/>Spaceman:  I found a lego minifig on my street in Rogers
Park. I wanted to duplicate it for the kids in the neighborhood.

/>Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire and
why?

Spaceman:  Artists that have a love for their
neighborhood, and make work for themselves and people that occupy it.

/>Wooster: What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block,
to post and/or to see street art?

Spaceman:
Amsterdam, London, Barcelona, NY, Chicago. I see it everywhere and I love it
all.

Wooster: What inspires you now?

/>Spaceman:  The sky, mars, life on earth.

/>Wooster: What are you currently working on?  Can you give us
a sneak peek?
