Salvame - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did
you get started in creating art for the street?

Salvame:
ever loving desire to effect the public. To make heads turn but still
be able to relate in some way to the art, either by appreciation or disgust. I
finally had enough of seeing other execute their ideas and I knew it was time
for me do as well. I needed to react and react I did.

/>Wooster: Why the little guy from Fantasy Island?

/>Salvame: Interesting you should ask. When ever I set off to
do a project I always like to do it in a series. Tatto is the first of many in
my first series of street art. I also like things to be a surprise as well, but
what I can say is that the name of the series is, “VILLAINS.” The, “S” on all my
postings is very significant to my identity, artwork, and concept. The “S”
stands for my identity “Salvame” which is the spanish word for “save me”. So in
my efforts to educate the masses I wish the public to be aware that Villains are
not always our enemies but in a way they gives us the balance that is necessary
in our world. I want to see if people will be able to make the connection once
they see the rest of the series.

Wooster: What other
street artists do you most admire and why?

Salvame:
Kostas Seremetis, A young greek man of extraordinary talents for inciting and
kindling my love of comics and pop art

Wooster:
What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block, to post and/or
to see
street art?

Salvame: Tokyo, Harajuku (Harajuku
Street)

Wooster: What inspires you now?

/>Salvame: Everything. It’s hard to say what inspires us to do
what we do. Anything that we do or see effects the person we will become and
what work we will do

Wooster: What are you currently
working on? Can you give us a sneak peek?

Salvame:
Continuing my series of, “VILLAINS.” I will continue with this theme until I
fell that the world has truly understood my message.
