most like to live?: to be honest I’m very happy in Melbourne but if it
includes other planets I reckon Neptune would be cool

first “hero” in life?: gumby
What is your favorite thing
to do on your day off from work?: um ...work? I’ll replace work with
uni and say the obvious answer-drawin paste ups.
What is your
favorite color?: the blues
Who (or what) do you
love?: cheap food, fat markers, free stuff, police that like street art
( I assume there’s gotta be some! )

/>Everyone and everything.
Though recently I have been
collaborating other newbie melbourne artists, Anti… and Downpour and a lot of
our ideas come from talking with each other. We’re setting up a website, please
have a look (plug plug plug!!) www.pureklass.cjb.net tho its still under
construction at the moment.

What other artists do you
most admire?

Well basically everyone that’s hitting up
melburn I admire, everfresh are rippin up melbourne at the moment and its hard
not to be inspired by them, they’ve done some massive paste ups. phibs’ stuff is
incredible, really fresh characters and style and amazing can control, plus
people like meggs, ltmp, prism, plush and monkey are always rippin up melburn.
Overseas artists that I’m liking at the moment include AKIRO, Peat, TLP, mambo,
akroe and the list goes on…

How would you describe your
art to someone who could not see it?

At the root its an
attempt to defy/change the mainstream outlook on grafitti and the negative
connotations surrounding it, I try to make art that people will stop and look at
rather than keep walkin. There is no better feeling than seeing someone stopping
and looking at your work and walking away with a smile on their face (as cheesy
as that sounds) so I try to make characters fairly confronting rather than
hidden away (tho admitedly some of it is). Physically they are really just
doodles, hand drawn or stenciled or a mix, essentially in black and white with
some dashes of colour, but I am looking at adding some more colour at the
moment.

What other talent would most like to
have?

The ability to blend into the background would be
handy, that’s hard when your 6ft 7”

What do you fear the
most?

I had a dream the other day that I was in star
wars flying the x wing against the death star, cept all the other characters
were from Scooby Doo!, “like scoob lets go get those tie fighters” “rokay
shraggy.” To answer your question I often scare myself.

To be rich, but
not snooty, to be outspoken, but not an arsehole, to be classy, but without
knowing it.
