One of the best things about the Wooster site
is that we can put up a flick of a piece of art that we have no idea who the
artist is, and then a few days later we’ll get an email from them sayin’ hello.
This happened again this week when we put up a snap of some fantastic cloud
paintings that have been turining up all over Boston.  Yesterday we received an
email from the guy who’s doing them.

Darkcloulds - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did you get started
in creating art for the street?

Darkclouds: I
started out just writing graff, putting up stickers, and just getting up as much
as i could in whatever form i could muster, but I eventually felt I needed A
More significant and fulfilling form in which to rock my work… and i had alot
of street signs lying around.

Wooster: Why clouds?

Darkclouds: Well… my good friend is a rad
artist, but he was always in a shitty mood. So one day i dubbed him the dark
cloud, y’know, like in a cartoon when theres a dark cloud following you
everywhere. Anyway, we joked around about it for a while and eventually it just
manifested itself into what it is now. My buddy also paints his own form of the
clouds, mostly on canvas. they look rad.

Wooster:
What other street artists do you most admire and why?

/>Darkclouds: The most amazing street artist i have ever
witnessed roll through boston is the MONSTER, and his monster project. the first
illegally bolted sign i ever saw was his, and i was like hmmmmm…....The HI GUY
was also semi mind-blowing a couple years back. Also, in the graff world, the
crushing duo of MEHR and KEM5 have been bringing boston to a standstill as of
late. and of course, SENOR EDO, the ROBOT GUY, and MOUFFIKA are seriously doin’
it up nice around this burg.

Wooster: What’s your favorite city,
neighborhood, or block, to post and/or to see street art?

/>Darkclouds: San francisco, NYC, and all around boston
/>
Wooster: What inspires you now?

/>Darkclouds: Music as always…

Wooster:
What are you currently working on?  Can you give us a sneak peek?
/>
Darkclouds: i just finished a gaggle of new stickers,
and am now working on peeling the goddamn grip tape of old skateboards so I can
paint em’ and bolt there asses up… aarrgghhh…i gotta go get more signs,
wheres the construction when you need it…
