Brownsugaaa - The A’s to Our Q’s:
Wooster: How
did you get started in creating art for the street?
/>Brownsugaaa: It actually started when my boyfriend left for
Seattle and I ended up having more “free time” in my hands. I’ve had issues when
I would go for months creating pieces and then occasions when I would stop and
not even THINK of picking up a pencil. Anyway, close to two months ago I decided
to pick up on art again after a year and a half of being MIA but decided to try
something different after I ran into the
href="http://www.stencilrevolution.com">Stencil Revolution website.
/>Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire and
why?
Brownsugaaa: I just recently started but I
find a lot of the artists on Stencil Revolution very good.
/>Wooster: What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block,
to post and/or to see street art?
Brownsugaaa:
Venice Beach, around Long Beach—downtown/by the LA river/by the trains,
downtown Los Angeles, around Seattle.
Wooster: What
inspires you now?
Brownsugaaa: That ceaseless
tickin in my head.
Wooster: What are you currently
working on? Can you give us a sneak peek?
Brownsugaaa:
I’m currently trying to think up of ideas for the next Vinyl Killers
show. I’m actually thinking of coming up with a 4 maybe 6 panel piece with a
stencil artist from New York. I can’t really give you a sneak peak unless you
can read my mind BUT you can go to the SR website to view my lil gallery. I just
realized I mentioned SR 4 times—including just now—maybe I should get a
commendation? LOL
