Oles - The A’s To Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did you get started in creating art
for the street?

Oles: When I go painting graff with my
friends, most of the time I’m finished first because I paint quickly, at a point
I got fed up with that, so I started to paint little cartoons next to my piece.
At one point I had painted a lot of birds around my piece and I liked them so
much that I started painting them in the street. From there I also made
stencils, stickers and posters. Now I’m mostly doing that instead of painting
graff, it’s about a 70% painting birds to 30% normal graff.

/>Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire and why?

/>Oles: I admire alot of other streetartists, but most of all I like
LASTPLAK, LONDON POLICE, "http://www.dstruct.nl/"> D-STRUCT, Mr SERIOUS and the guys from Utrecht,
WOOD, EWOS and KAR. I also
like the work of
the flower guy alot.
/>
Wooster: What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block, to
post and/or to see street art?

Oles: Well, that’s my hometown
Rotterdam, but Paris, London and Lisbon are also very nice.

/>Wooster: What inspires you now?

Oles: That can be
everything. From weird looking packaging design to old movies, from lovely
ladies to just things that pop in my mind.

Wooster: What are
you currently working on?  Can you give us a sneak peek?

Oles:
I’m currently working on an exhibition in Rotterdam. I takes up alot of time but
it’s really nice to see it take shape.
