New Work From 36… An Explanation

/>“My name is 36 (36=360?=global), i’m a french graphic and industrial designer.
In my works, i mix up architecture, industrial design, graphic design and
graffiti to create a very technical and industrial global environment. Since
2000, i’ve been developing a global project called “recyclab” which consists in
collecting materials from second-hand (or out of order) hardware on the pavement
or elsewhere. i dismount them, isolate the interesting parts (shapes, materials,
colors)and gathers them to construct new structures (architecture, engines,
robotics…)to create my global environment. Then i take pictures of these
structures, recreate graphics with my “own pixels” and add my own fonts to
totally appropriate the final image. Many of my graphics come from pictures of
“tape-on-wall instalation taylor-made for exhibitions and urban art. Currently,
i develop urban micro-architecture projects and room or outdoor instalations
that mixes structural architecture with 3D and video.

/>These posters in the street of Paris (Bastille-gare de lyon) represent an
architecture project called “PARASIT”: it’s a independant structure which lives
due to an existant appartment, like an urban graft. The little part is inside
apartment, the biggest part is outside, in front of the building and tubes are
electric, water alimentation.

Sorry but it’s difficult for me to
speak english.”... 36
