Our friend Ricardo Cortes from href="http://www.magicpropagandamill.com">Magic Propaganda Mill dropped us a
note this afternoon to say that tomorrow at the Small Press Book Fair he’s
teamed up with the Martha Cooper ( href="http://www.powerhousebooks.com/fromheretofame/hiphopfiles.html">“Hip Hop
Files”) and KET from “From Here to Fame” to run a small booth. As we
mentioned the other day, we’ll be participating in a panel at 4pm tomorrow with
Swoon, Dan Witz, and a whole bunch of others.

We’ve been meaning to
write up something here on the Wooster site about Ricardo’s new childrens book,
“It’s Just a Plant”, but it’s fallen
through the cracks. So now is a great time to let you know that the book, which
has been in the works for some time, is now done. Ricardo’s book is geared for
all parents or people who have young children in their life and want to discuss
what marijuana is with their children. The artwork is by Magic Propoganda Mill
and some artists Wooster Collective fans may be familiar with including Futura,
SMARCUS, Che Jen, Jose Parla & Tillamook Cheddar, among others. If you smoke
pot and have kids, this book is a must have.

So if you come out to
the Small Press Book Fair tomorrow, be sure to stop by room 208 to see Ricardo
and Martha’s new books. We’re not sure where room 208 is but be sure to ask for
it. There’s a good chance that Martha will be “in the house” tomorrow signing
copies. We picked up a copy of Hip Hop Files the other week and it’s absolutely
amazing. The intro by Zephyr is wonderful and the photos and commentary in the
book are essential reading for anyone interested in the graf scene. It’s a
classic for sure. If in your life you own less then five books on graffiti, this
should be one of them.
