Logan Hicks - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster:
How did you get started in creating art for the street?

/>Logan: I owned a screenprinting business in Baltimore I did
shitty T-shirts for corporations. I got bored so I started doing posters for
band gigs and clubs. That escalated and I was soon wheatpasting my own posters
and designs. When I moved to California, I didn’t have any of my screenprinting
equipment, so I started doing stencils, and that is what I do currently.
/>
Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire
and why?

Logan: href="http://www.buffmonster.com/">Buffmonster gets out quite a bit. I enjoy
his work. Space Invader has a
pretty unique approach that I enjoy. Ron
English
kills it with his billboards. The href="http://www.guerillaone.com/interviews_07_17_00/Eklips/eklips.htm">AWR MSK
crew
here in LA always have some crazy shit going on. href="http://www.sheone.co.uk/">She One is nice.

Wooster:
What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block, to post and/or to
see street art?

Logan: I enjoy Silvelake Los
Angeles right now, but I like to see things everywhere. Different states,
cities. Always good to see what other people do with their area.

/>Wooster: What inspires you now? heather, sinatra, friends -
the important things in life

Wooster: What are you
currently working on?  Can you give us a sneak peek

/>Logan: I have a show coming up in Berlin. href="http://www.streetwisetwo.com">Streetwise two. Just showed at the
BombPop show at C-pop Gallery. Have a massive show going to Oklahoma in July
too. Showing some stuff at the Punch Gallery in SF, and will be doing the
Stencil Archive show in SF in August. Organizing workhorse shows for Baltimore,
Greensboro, New Orleans, and a few other cities.
