“In Rome I did a show with href="http://www.mackplakt.tk">Mackplakt from Antwerp. He’s been featured on
the Wooster site many times in the past. His girlfriend, ephameron, does these

Age: 25
/>Hometown: Leuven, Belgium
Where do you now
live?:
Antwerp, Belgium
Where would you most like to
live?:
I’m happy where I am right now… although I miss my friends
abroad. I visit them anytime I can and when I have the money.
Who
was your first “hero” in life?:
I guess that must’ve been Egon Schiele.
I’ve been admiring his work ever since I was a little girl.
What is
your favorite thing to do on your day off from work?:
Read comics,
draw, work on my website www.ephameron.com, go to the movie theatre at night.
/>What is your favorite color?: Azurite and red.
/>Who (or what) do you love?: having fruit and yoghurt in the
morning, my love Mackplakt

Who and/or what are some of your influences?

Comic book artists like Mike Mignola, Ashley Wood, Dave
McKean, Scott Morse, Bill Sienkiewicz. Illustrators like CX Huth, Evan Hecox,
writers like Douglas Coupland, who describes the small things that make life
worth living.

What other artists do you most admire?

Street artists like Swoon, Faile, Beefree, who make
visually interesting stuff. Mackplakt for
being omnipresent in Antwerp and ever so creative, href="http://www.dennistyfus.tk">Dennis Tyfus and href="http://www.kolchoz.com">KIT for being two of Antwerp’s finest,
actually the whole Rotkop.

/>

/>

How would you describe your art to someone who could
not see it?

I try to capture an emotion into an image,
an ephemeral moment in life. the lines I draw are the most important. Color, if
any, comes afterwards.

What other talent would you most
like to have?

I wish I could be patient enough to walk
through a shopping street without being irritated by other people.

/>
What do you fear the most?

Losing love,
losing inspiration, getting old. What is your greatest ambition? To be able to
make a living out of drawing! Illustrating for magazines, having shows all over
the place. Having an art gallery/studio of my own. sigh…
