mydogsighs -Absolutely shocked to hear of the passing of @josephloughborough.

I first stumbled across Joe's work in the back alleys of portsmouth nearly twenty years ago now, where his loose sketchy marker pen portraits and characters regularly arrived and intrigued.I later met him in Blackpool while we were painting at a street art festival. I remember being enthralled at his sketchbooks (he always carried so many) which were bursting with his ideas and drawings. A true artists artist.We wrote (proper letters) a few times. His handwriting was as flamboyant as his drawings.I remember him living in Berlin, Paris, London and I'm sure a few other places, where he lived (and worked) in often wonderfully bizarre ateliers and straddled his time between his two loves, art and skating. I remember him showing up to one of my London shows a few years back dressed in his almost Dickensian artist attire and carry his skateboard.I own a couple of his works and some of his books. They really are things of beauty.Darn. This hit hard. Cheers Joe. My thoughts are with your loved ones.
