From Ira:

“I’ve
been working on and producing a body of sculpture called 3D graffiti. They
appear to be benches made of ominious words like “AVARICE” (placed in front of
the Ford dealership) and “DEVOUR” (placed in front of Walmart) Sure I was
providing seats for folks on the bus, but also addressing all the drive by
patrons (might as well have some art viewing from our cars.) I placed these
2000lb cast concrete benches unscanctioned, so they are true graffiti. Four of
them lasted about 6 weeks, then the city has removed them from their right of
way. It has caused some local discussion as to the purpose of public art in our
community, always good, I guess.”

Amazing.
