“I Am God”

/>The other day, Sara and I recieved the following email:

style="font-weight: bold;">

“Hey… Can I send you a non-explosive thought
provoking object/stencil art project for a review?

Reply back to this
with cleverness in 28 characters or less and a USPS mailing address and I’ll
send you one. Or choose one here, but I’m not really all that clever….

No kidding. This isn’t crazy spam or anything. Your site’s pretty cool
and thought you might have an idea or two.

Thanks,
/>Joe”

Intrigued, we emailed Joe back the following three words -
“I Am God”

(To explain - not
long after Sara and I started dating, we travelled to Puttaparthi, India to
visit the guru Sai Baba. In a lecture one afternoon, Sai Baba suggested that
one’s mantra should be simply - “I am God”. From that day, “I am God” has become
my only mantra. I can explain why, but that would take far too much time)
/>
Anyway - this evening we received from href="http://www.myfirstgraffiti.com/">Myfirstgraffiti.com, a terrific
little package consisting of: a Montana Pocket Can, a stencil that said “I Am
God”, and the following note:

“Roll stencil in opposite
direction (a couple of times) to make flat. Shake paint can and press on
nozzel/cap before use. Do a test spray on cratch surface before using stencil to
clear nozzel/cap. When finished, spray upside down until runs clear, for
storage.

Thanks for playing.”

While purists may scoff, we
think Myfirstgraffiti.com is an absolutely amazing idea. The majority of people
who come to the Wooster site each day have never held a can, never bombed a
building, and never had the rush of “getting up”. So for less than $10,
Myfirstgraffiti.com gives you all you need to hit the streets - a Montana can, a
customized stencil, and some quick instructions.

So earlier tonight,
to test out our starter kit from Myfirstgraffiti.com, Hudson and I hit Soho with
our “I Am God” stencil. Along the way, we ran into our friend Piers from href="http://www.psfk.com/">PSFK. Seeing the can in my hand and red paint on
my fingers, Piers smiled and said - “Dude, don’t get arrested tonight”. I looked
down at Hudson and said - “With a dog? Never”

So if you check out the
Wooster site each day, but have never gone out and put up a stencil or a paste,
we highly recommend that you check out href="http://myfirstgraffiti.com/">Myfirstgraffiti.com.
