Have you guys heard about Vacant? We
hadn’t until this morning and it’s located right around the corner from Wooster
HQ, on Mercer and Grand. Here’s what we know: Vacant’s a concept store which
shows up for a month in an empty space in different cities around the world—
London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm and Los Angeles. By the looks
of it, Vacant showcases and sells some amazing one-off and limited edition
items.
Tomorrow night the guys at Vacant are hosting the opening
party for PAINTURA PITCH
PROJECT/STOIQUE/PUMA. The exhibition, held in cooperation with PUMA,
consists of 12 scrawled soccer-balls. Artists include Ben Drury, David Foldvari,
ESPO, Genta Kosumi, Kostas Seremetis, Kate Gibb, Mr. JAGO, REAS, Reggie Pedro,
Steff Plaetz, Var, Will Barras. We’re gonna try to get down to the opening
reception tomorrow.
The ball at top was painted by KOSTAS. The one
below, by Espo.
