Give ‘Em Props…. KRSN by Kev Grey

Every so often we ask our favorite artists to
choose that ONE painting, sticker, stencil, sculpture, or piece of architecture
that truly inspires them in their daily work.  Today’s Give ‘Em Props! is from
Kev Grey

Give ‘Em Props…. KRSN by Kev Grey

“i’ve
picked a recent painting by KRSN done in Paris for my ‘Give Em Props’. A lot of
graffiti writers use solid, thick lines in their work (including me), but what
really stood out to me with KRSN’s technique is his use of loose, very fine
lines and the detail it conveys. He can paint like he sketches, which I like. I
could of picked more of his work but I chose this one as it’s in the same
location I painted myself in Paris, and the badgers hat has the word ‘blairo’ on
it, which was the only French expression I learned; it’s a sort of a french
insult which means something like ‘little stupid animal’, or at least that’s
what I was told. Maybe you had to be there, but it was funny at the time.
