Gary Baseman’s For the Love of Toby at Billy Shire Gallery

If you’re in the LA area and haven’t seen it yet, be
sure to check out For the Love of Toby a
landmark show by Gary Baseman which
showcases the blurring of the lines between Toy Culture, the Character movement,
and fine art.

The
show opened on May 14th in Los Angeles at href="http://www.billyshirefinearts.com/">Billy Shire Fine Arts and runs
until June 18th. The exhibition features Baseman’s Toby character on a range of
different mediums including wood panel paintings, vintage photographs, ephemera,
and as as a plush pleather toy and a vinyl figure.
