Favorite
Event of 2004:

Abe
Lincoln, Jr
: I’m going to have to go with Stickerthrow! The sticker art show
Anera and I spent the better part of this year putting together. It was without
a doubt the most rewarding art show I’ve been involved in. Anera and I want to
send out all our thanks to everyone who sent in stickers from the Featured
Artists and especially every one who sent in to the open call you laid down the
foundation to an amazing event! Pics are href="http://www.girlsbike.com/stickerthrow">here

Rekal: Sonar
(Barcellona), it’s the first time for me this year and it was amazing. A lot of
people having fun, and great music…someone told me that the past years was
better ‘couse it was a little bit less mainstream, but anyway for me it has been
great!!

Zoltron: href="http://www.hispanicsurf.com/newsroom/2004/menudo_auditions_to_be_held_NY-
031004.htm">The Revised Menudo Boy Band Auditions
.

Roadsworth:
1.Birth and eventual recovery from initial complications of my nephew Mailin
(family criris overcome). Hommage to Victor Jara, Chilean songwriter/activist at
Station C at beginning of Nov. First time I’d ever tried my hand at live
painting. Wicked experience.

Buddy Lembeck: Beautiful Losers opening
in Cincinnati, OH, which included the “Good World” show at href="http://www.publicoart.com/">Publico Gallery and “Beaver College” at
the Mockbee. That was an awesome event to have in my hometown.

Favorite Artist of
2004:

Abe: Tie: Senor B for his clean execution and sense of
humor, Regular Product for his tight style and I dunno what happened but
Supakitch went from “fucking amazing” to “completely unreal”.

Rekal:
Yoshitomo Nara…I think he have a great technique and those fuking kids let me
think about me smile

/>

checked out in Mtl.)4.Homeboys (haven’t met them myself) Stare, Thesis, Other 5.
Andy Goldsworthy of course. 6.Ricky Gervais a.k.a. David Brent (man’s a
genius)

Buddy: “Darius & Downey”, at the moment, these two are
pushing street arts definition the furthest, taking it to another level if you
will. The “lamps” in London and the “2.5” piece, Etc..

/>Favorite New Artist(s) of 2004 (an artist who
you did not know of last year):

Abe: Elph blows me away with
his expressive characters

/>Zoltron: SFaustina

stories that go along with the artwork are as awesome as the work itself. Brings
a new definition to the word balsiness.)2.2hora (I love those butterflies and
flowers) 3.Leandro (man after my own heart)

Buddy: Gunther von
Hagens, The German “Scientist/Artist” who did the href="http://www.bodyworlds.com/">Body Worlds Exhibit with all the skinless
dead people…that show is insane.

Favorite Single Piece of Art in 2004:

Abe: Well seeing
the sticker wall at our show start out as a big piece of paper and turn into a
full fledged piece of sticker art was probably my favorite thing. Seeing all the
people showing up and sizing up the wall and adding to it really made it seem to
me to be more of a community event than a “show” Here’s a href="http://www.girlsbike.com/stickerthrow/panorama.mov">QuickTime vr of
the sticker wall

Rekal: a Clayton Brothers paint

Zoltron:
Judy North - Desert Storm

CD/Song of 2004:

best single ever with a sick cameo by Kool Keith.

Rekal: from the
album “Ten” by Clouddead I like a lot “Rifle eyes” but I love all the album
/>
Zoltron: Sanchez Brothers
- Fuggetaboutit

Rekal: I gonna work all

strong cold and this drink is the right one to keep your body quite hot..
