Ewos - The A’s To Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did you get started in creating art
for the street?

Ewos: Well..in 1986 i was reading alot of
comics with my friend “AlexThaKidd"The comics were full of graffiti and just
painting your name on the wall.. We liked it ..so got some markers and cans
started pinting on vereything outside. I was HOOKED….. In 1990 started
serious, in about 1992 Got busted a few times..slowed down a little and in 1996
the two faces (angry and a happy one) came into my life…they starde fuckin
shit up and still do..BASTERDS!!!!!i hate them!!

Wooster: How
did you come up with the characters that you use in your art?

/>Ewos: At first i did pieces..but in 1996 i used the happy face instead
of the letter “O” in my pieces just because it looked funny. When peopls asked
me what i write, is said this and that…and they were like OOOWW..you are the
guy of the faces… I was like yeah yeah…and alot of people just know me of
that so i started doing just the faces. I was pretty bored of the letters
anayway..This is about the happy one the angry face is a oneliner…I was doing
alot of throw ups in one line at time istill did pieces.


Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire and why?

/>Ewos: time for cocksucking? hmmm I prefer mine gets some…There are a
lot of peeps i like. But i think The city Paris is most inspiring for me. Alot
of Nice work can be seen there in the streets…well known guys..but also things
i have never seen..

Wooster: What’s your favorite city,
neighborhood, or block, to post and/or to see street art?

/>Ewos: Utrecht -Amsterdam-Rotterdam, Paris of course for just bombing
the CAMIONS!!, antwerp, brussels has some nice places also….well basicly when
it’s dirty it’s good!!

Wooster: What inspires you now?

Ewos: NOW??? right Now?? so many things…i’m very bussy with
some Toy Figures in Hong Kong..it’s nice…but also experimenting with my camera
at night in the streets…mostly to shoot my own stuff…so when i will be a
grandpa…i will have some nice souvenirs and my kids will play with their
daddy’s TOYFIGURES! hahahaha>
