“Hello!
This is my first time writing to you all at Wooster, so I would like to state
the obvious.  You folk are the unifying force in the field, and if you weren’t
around, I would probably cry.  Everyday I do 4 things.  Eat, sleep, bathroom
stuff, and spend hours on Wooster.  I cannot thank you enough. Saying that, I
have recently moved to Oakland, California, to attend art school.  Oakland has
an emerging scene!  I see Dave stickers everyday.  It is quite wonderful.  Here
are two photos of some of my work… David”

DaveBear - The Q’s:

Wooster: How did you
get started in creating art for the street?

DaveBear:
I was always really really into carving jack-o-lanterns.  I wanted to
do it all year round.

Wooster: Why the Pope?
/>
DaveBear: We all know the Pope is a gangsta!

/>Wooster: What other street artists do you most admire and
why?

DaveBear: href="http://www.buffmonster.com">Buffmonster - amazing placement, I don’t
get how he does it. Tofer -  I love the
images, I used to see them all the time before I was into street art, everyday I
try and be as good as him. Huge Bag - for really great ideas, and reeking of
coolness.  Anthony Skirvin - just
fantastic images.  Now way around it…

Wooster:
What’s your favorite city, neighborhood, or block, to post and/or to
see street art?

DaveBear: Venice Beach doesn’t get
enough love!  Also the bay area is great!

Wooster:
What inspires you now?

DaveBear: Subtlety. Walking
down the streets and seeing a little sticker, or a nice stencil makes my day.
Little things, with amazing placement.  RES and good music.
