Each day, more and more
Each day, more and more artists are incorporating
a “No War In Iraq” element into the street art. We thought we would pass
along some links and info on a group of organizations where you can get more
involved:
"New">VoteNoWar.org—VoteNoWar is conducting a “people’s referendum”
to allow people in the U.S. to have a vote against the U.S. government’s rush
into a war that violates international law and individual consciences. Go to the
website to sign this statement: “The U.S. Congress did not represent me when it
voted to authorize George W. Bush to carry out an illegal war against Iraq.
Thousands will die needlessly unless the people stop this war drive. I join with
millions of people who believe that the $200 billion planned for war against
Iraq should be spent instead to fund jobs, education, housing, health care,
child care, assistance to the elderly and to meet people’s needs.”

A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism)— . This organization
was the primary sponsor of the October 26 and the January 18-19 protests in the
U.S. and in other countries. ANSWER chartered buses from all over the country to
make the marches in Washington D.C. the largest anti-war protests since the
Vietnam War.
"New">United for Peace ——UFP is a coalition that helps coordinate
international anti-war activities and share information.
