Concrete Sneakers from Juse - An Explanation

“The project above is called “I Have Pop”. It is an
excersize in recreating popular culture through street art. This is phase one,
with the next steps in full development.

I made 10 pairs of Nike
Dunks out of concrete and placed them outside of some of the world’s most high
profile (sneaker) stores including Nort/Recon in New York City, Undefeated in
LA, and more elsewhere. Some were glued down. Some were placed in broad
daylight. And with some I waited around for them to be discovered to document
the moment of interaction with the pieces. Just like with any type of modern
street art, some got buffed right away while others went on display and used for
commercial purposes.

You can view (almost) the entire phase one of
the project at href="http://www.ihavepop.com/">http://www.ihavepop.com”...
