Checkin’ In With…. Gloom in Los Angeles

/>So what have you been doing for the last few months? Any new
projects?

Nothing much has been going on at all really.
As for any new projects, I’ve got a little something in mind, I guess; the
Graffiti Creates Jobs campaign.  It’d be cool to see this go worldwide with
fellow artists working with the slogan.  Think about it:  From the pencil
manufacturers to the security camera manufacturers, right on through to the city
workers who have to paint over and pull our work down, and even on down to any
damn company sewing the hoods to all the sweatshirts we buy!  That’s just the
beginning of it.  I’ve got a whole list going, and I’m sure there are plenty
I’ve missed.  We’ll see what happens.  I’m such a lazy bastard.

What’s coming up for you in 2004?

At the
moment, hopefully a shirt sometime soon, with much thanks going to Ricter.  A
website would be a nice thing for ‘04, but I’m sure that’s just one more goal
I’ll never know.  How ‘bout a better job in 2004; I wish that were coming
up.

What are the things that have been inspiring you
lately?

Funny you should ask.  I’d like to take this
opportunity to apologize to Tofer for so stupidly forgetting to mention him as
a favorite artist of mine when I was profiled way back when.  It’s been bugging
me ever since.  I say this because just the other day I came across a couple
things of his that I had never seen before and just stared at them on the
screen, looking as if I’d just had a lobotomy or something.  I found these
especially inspiring.  So Tofe, there you go; one more fan.  What else is there?
I find Vida Guerra to be pretty inspiring as of late, along with Alisha Klass,
of course. Then there’s Afloat Sushi in Pasadena, and the new Air album, Talkie
Walkie.
