“Best of 2003”—Part VIII

Favorite Event of 2003:


Wooster Collective: This year was full of amazing events for us - Topping the list is definitely our wedding in NYC and then our honeymoon in Africa. Our first “Wooster Collective Live” Salon with Ange Taggart was also a highlight of the year, as was Marc’s photography show in Brooklyn this past September. 

1337: The Stick Em’ Up show at Revlolver in Melbourne.

86: The expo of Calma in Rio de Janeiro.

Ewos: My favorite event of the year was definately the opening party of the groupexhibition in Vlaardingen on the 1st of November. That was some crazy party, many people showed up and i got soooooooo drunk…well basicly everybody got drunk as hell. Met some new people over there…woke up in a strange house….back then..The rest is history…

Buffmonster: Every opening for every show that I’m in. And putting up posters in tokyo was good.

Darkclouds: Red Sox Winning the world series… oh, wait… fuck.

818: My lonely trip around UK, and the Ron Mueck’s Exhibition I’ve seen in London National Gallery in those days.

Favorite Artist of 2003:

Ewos: Hmmm…i
really enjoy HNT’s work...his choice of
enivironment and style is a very nice combination most of the the time..Also

Well, href="http://www.86corp.com/contenteface.jpg">Contente, a new artist from
Rio de Janeiro, has started an intervention project stenciling a cool face here
in my city.

Ewos: There is so many that i did know of…i
don’t really can say i have a favorite…i just like to see how many people are
involved…gettin involved in the streets! keep it alive !!! new generations
poppin out everywhere it’s a good thing!

too kind and serious to talk about ourselves, but we started 818 this year, so
we are new for the 2003 and we are happy about what we’re doing. A part from

video; then, Genevieve Gauckler, and so
on…

Favorite Piece of Art of 2003:


Wooster Collective:
Dalek recently did a piece for us that we absolutely love.  It’s done on an
antique Krylon box for the ‘60’s.  It’s very cool.

Wooster Collective:
Lately we’ve been diggin’ the Rhapsody music service.  Everyone talks about
Itunes, which is indeed cool, but for us Rhapsody is our main source of music
these days.

1337: The new 800ml bottles of Victoria Bitter

86: A soviet poster catalog launched here in brazil.

a bunch of fuck ups! mist my flight…blabla long story.. eh…i really don’t

last record is amazing….

What is your New Year’s wish?


Wooster Collective:
For 2004 to be the year of the Dean.

1337: To get a
regular job, and for me and my girlfriend to stop fussin’ and fightin’. Bring on
the love.

86: More urban art references; world peace and
people becaming more conscientious.

Ewos: TOKYO and NEW
YORK! Makin some pictures over there and ofcourse some mad invasions of anger
over there! When i go i go with MCLO!

Buffmonster: more good
things, less bad things.

Darkclouds: to get a bigger ipod,
if i didn’t already get one for christmas.

818: No more
Berlusconi destroying Italy, No more Bush destroying the rest of the World. Work
more on our 818 project, maybe in the studio we are dreaming/searching for, and
enough to live with it. Print some of the t-shirts I’ve already designed but
never realized.

How will you be spending the Holiday’s this year? / What will you be doing for New Years Eve?


1337: I’ll be
spending as much time as possible swimming in rock pools in the rainforrest, and
drinking copious amounts of alcoholic beverages….like a pirate.  YARR!

86: Stay with my girlfriend. It’s the most important. Read,
beach, do more exercises, maybe travel with her, make new posters. don’t know
yet.

Ewos: This year will be new…i have been travelling
like a maniak for last few weeks….Brussels-paris-brussels-london..i was soo
tired when i got back…i Think get some nice food, some beers . a nice blunt
and gettin wild with the girl aaaaaaaaight!!?!! New years EVE…hmmm
interesting..i really don’t know…but i heard some crazy italians commin over
soooo we will see what happens!
