Beginning This Weekend - Wooster Hits China!
In just a few hours time we’ll be jumping on a
plane and heading to China. Over the next couple of weeks, we’re hoping to be
able to post some reports from our travels through China. We will be starting in
Beijing on Saturday and ending up in Shanghai three weeks later. Between those
two cities we have no idea where we we’re going. But we do know that we’ll be in
Shanghai for the Art Biennial and returning to New York on the 26th. Being that
we have no idea if we’ll even be able to access the Wooster site and upload
photos once inside China, there is a chance that we won’t be able to post
anything new from now until we return on October 26th.
So….

If you are a daily Wooster visitor, here’s some thoughts on what to do
each day until we return on the October 26th.
1. Each day while
we are away, pick a new week to check out in the Wooster archives. The amount of
interviews, photographs, links, etc that are in the archives is vast. The site
had been updated each and every day for almost two years. There are over 3,000
individual entries. This is a good time to check out past stuff that you may
have missed. There is some incredible stuff to see.
2. Check out a few other sites related to street art: Stencil Revolution, Ekosystem, and StickerNation
3. Check out the Fotologs each day of a terrific group of artists including Jon Burgerman, Freaklub, Eltono, Pure Evil, and many, many other artists who use Fotolog.
5. Do what we’re doing - Take a break from the computer.
Also, if you haven’t yet subscribed to the
Wooster email list, now is a good time to do it. When we get back from China in
two weeks time, we’ll shoot a note out to everyone saying that we’ve come back
and that the site is now back to it’s regular daily updates. By signing up to
the mailing list you won’t miss a thing.
And finally, if you’ve sent
us photos and emails in the last couple of weeks we’re extremely sorry about not
responding to everything. As soon as we get back we’ll make sure we respond to
all of the emails that have been sitting in the inbox (We’ve been getting over
100 emails a day so it’s a bit daunting. We’re not intentionally trying to be
rude, honestly we’re not)
That’s it for now. Hopefully you’ll hear
from us in the next few weeks as we meet up with street artists from Beijing to
Shanghai.
Cheers,
Marc and Sara
