AD and Droo of Skewville - The A’s to Our Q’s:

Wooster: How did you
get started in creating art for the street?

AD and Droo: In
the mid 80’s we did Graffiti like most kids.  By the mid 90’s we starting
witnessing the change of graffiti into Street art. Posters, stickers and
stencils cluttered every street corner in NYC. Media space was scarce and
everything was done. 1n 1999, Looking back at the End of an era, we realized
change was Neccasary> the Quest for a New media Space gave birth to our sneaker
mission. A.K.A When Dogs Fly

Wooster: Why shoes?

/>AD and Droo: Dogs, Kicks, Grips, Sneaks or whatever you want to call
them. As Kids we tossed our old sneakers (like everyone else) when we got new
ones. It was a symbol of change and a way to represent your hood. Tossing once
or twice a year just wasn’t enough. So we started making Wooden Dogs to Continue
our childhood mission.

Wooster:
What other street artists do you most admire and why?

AD and
Droo:
DONDI, BLADE, SEEN, etc… changed Writing on walls in the 70’s into
an art form in the 80’s. Then COST and REVS changed the whole game in the 90’s
covering NYC with pasted propaganda. "http://www.wkinteract.com/">Wk- changed the whole dynamics of street art by
putting flat art in motion. We respect those who change up the medium and/or
Media. the Flower Drips on sidewalks, "http://www.wearechangeagent.com/swoon/">SWOON’s hand-cuts, "http://www.space-invaders.com/">Space-invader’s tilestyle  and so on. The
rest of you know who you aren’t.

Wooster: What’s your favorite
city, neighborhood, or block, to post and/or to see street art?

AD
and Droo:
NYC is Where it all Started. Its got 30 years of history from the
best Street artist from around the world.

Wooster: What
inspires you now?

AD and Droo: Websites like this one. Seeing
how worldwide the competition is, makes us want to continue our quest to go “ALL
GLOBE”

Wooster: What are you currently working on? Can you
give us a sneak peek?

AD and Droo: There are wires out there
that are beyond our toss-a-bility . So Droo is working on “The Launcher”(r) - a
devise that will propell us to new heights. Ad is working on the my Sneaker
gallery coming soon to Orchard Street, NYC. It will Showcase Posters, Fallen
Archives and photographs of the 1500 sneakers tossed worldwide…. Stay
tuned…...
