“Cincy was Bangin’!!!!! For those of you familiar with the city layout I
was digging on the ghetto parts above Liberty Street. Beautiful Decay at its
best. The color and rawness made for a range of color and emotions. “Nice eyes”
she said as I walked by her. She was a strung out looking prostitute hungry for
some money and action. “Thanks, I’ll tell my parents, they were the ones that
made them!” We both got a smile from the exchange, and nothing else. Even though
I was clearly the only white boy in these parts of Cincy I enjoyed the awareness
of what it’s like to be singled out and so vulnerable in a city totally new to
me. People in Cincy warned me not to go near the “bad parts of town.” as I asked
for info about the city. I must give it up to all you in Upper Liberty keeping
things raw, alive and true. Survival of the fittest only the strong Survive!”..
